Karan Johar Cuts Shahid-Alia's Shaandaar Short

If you've seen the promos of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Shaandaar, chances are you're eagerly waiting for the rom-com to hit the screens.
Vikas Bahl knows that he can't afford to go wrong with this one. After all, everyone has high expectations from the director who gave us the critically acclaimed Queen.
So Vikas is playing it safe, every step of the way. And who is he seeking advice from? Karan Johar, who is also one of the producers of the destination wedding film.
As soon as Vikas wrapped up the post-production of the film, he flew all the way to London where KJo is shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and showed the cut to him.
We hear, the Student Of The Year director was quite impressed with the rom-com, but he felt that it was running a tad too long. Snip it by 15 minutes and you have a winner on your hands, was KJo's suggestion to Vikas.
Now, you know how seriously Karan is taken by fellow directors. After all, Karan knows his craft well and the numerous hits behind him only prove that.
So, Vikas sat down with his team and work at the editing table began in full swing. They ended up trimming the movie by a good 12 minutes.
